This may not be something you think about when making an appointment, but we have discovered that taking a little extra time to prepare for your curly dry cut can lead to better results! Please see below our top tips to preparing for your next salon visit.
1. Leave your hair as you normally wear it
Your hair cut will follow your natural curl, in its natural state and on dry hair.
Arrive at the salon as you normally wear your hair (no twist-outs, braids, curling or flat irons or any other manipulation). You can have a product applied, as long as it doesn't make the hair sticky (like gels or spray).
Let your hair hang loosely—no clips, bands, bun and ponytails. It can disrupt your curl pattern.
Before coming in, let your stylist know if your hair is very long, or very thick.
2. Think about your expectations
You can bring in a few #hairgoals photos to show your stylist which will assist in understanding the look you wish to achieve. However, please choose images with curls similar to yours. An inspired look on a similar curl type is more achievable for you and your stylist. You can also upload photos on our online booking system.
3. Be ready to share
It’s important you share with your stylist your hair journey.
Share as much as you can - The more your stylist knows about your hair history—the highlights, the challenges and your approach to your daily routine will determine a better result.

If your hair is simply dry and damaged and you want to improve the overall health of your curl. • THE CURLY HAIR SIGNATURE TREATMENT & STYLE is for you. We will conditioner, hydrate and strengths the hair using our unique Brazilian technique. You can also book just the signature treatment with any other services.
The styling process enhances the natural curl to spring up and the hair may appear shorter than it actually is.
